Doctor of Marriage & Family Therapy

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Walnut Creek, California + Online Throughout California

Direct, practical therapy for men and couples who are struggling.

Maybe you're depressed, anxious, irritable, or feeling nothing at all. Maybe you and your partner keep having the same argument, or you've started to feel more like roommates than a team. Whatever brought you here, you don't need the right words or a clear diagnosis to start.

Coping is not the same as doing well. My practice is for people who are ready to stop just getting through the day and start building a life and relationships that feel sustainable.

I provide licensed therapy and coaching for men and couples in the East Bay and online throughout California.

Why I do this work

Many of the men and couples I work with learned early that staying strong and handling things alone was the only acceptable way to get through hard times. Over time, that strategy can lead to isolation, exhaustion, shutting down, and trouble asking for what you need.

I do this work because everyone deserves a confidential, judgment-free space to be honest about what's going on. My goal is not generic advice. I help you understand the root of your patterns so you can break cycles that no longer work, repair your relationships, and feel clearer and more at ease.

Therapy with me is not a passive, endless conversation where you do all the talking while I just nod. It is an active, collaborative partnership designed around practical change.

  • Direct and grounded: You can expect honest feedback, clear explanations, and practical language.

  • Action-oriented and deep: We do not just put a bandage on symptoms; we look at the underlying root causes, family patterns, and attachment dynamics that drive your reactions today.

  • Respect for your reality: Before becoming a therapist, I worked in government operations and in the tech sector, so I understand real-world pressure, responsibility, and workplace demands from the inside. Whether you're dealing with depression, relationship strain, or just feeling stuck, I respect your time and tailor our work to the realities of your life.

My Approach:
What it's like to work with me

Inclusion

Therapy that makes room for your whole context.
Your work may include the impact of race, culture, faith, sexuality, gender, family expectations, community, and the systems you move through—not as side notes, but as meaningful parts of your life and relationships.
